Hi, I'm Margot 👋

Everyone, whatever their psychological needs, wants to be cared for by a clinician with understanding and professionalism who has extensive experience and training to help them overcome psychological difficulties. 

I am passionate about my therapeutic work and enjoy working collaboratively with my clients. I am approachable and compassionate and have helped many people overcome a wide range of difficulties with psychotherapy. 

 

I have extensive training and experience in a number of evidence based psychological treatment approaches and often combine several therapeutic approaches in order to deliver individually tailored interventions.

Academic Credentials

Margot initially completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Psychology at Monash University, before completing a Bachelor of Psychology and then Masters of Applied Psychology (Clinical) from Murdoch University in 2004.

She is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Margot is trained in several evidenced based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT).

Counselling Experience

Margot is an experienced Clinical Psychologist who has enjoyed working with individuals and families in both the public and private health systems.

She has helped a diverse range of clients over the past 18 years and is currently offering 1:1 psychotherapy for adults and older adults with anxiety, perfectionism, procrastination, low self esteem and confidence, imposter syndrome, parenting concerns, life stage transition, interpersonal difficulties and stress management.

She believes in a high –quality service to clients and their families and is a strong advocate for those with neurodevelopmental differences.
