I am passionate about helping you to improve your well-being and ability to cope with a range of life situations and the ups and downs of everyday life.

 

I truly believe that my role is to provide you with a safe, warm, engaging and positive environment, to guide you and enable you to be the expert in your own life. I will support you and listen, so that I can get the best understanding of you and your specific needs and concerns. 

 

By taking this approach, I want to enable you to better understand yourself and your thoughts and feelings, the context you are in and it’s impact on you, and how to best move forward.

Academic Credentials

I have a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Diploma in Psychology and Masters in Organisational Psychology.

I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and I am a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

I am trained in several evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy.

Counselling Experience

With over 30 years as a psychologist, I have worked with a diverse range of clients.

I am very interested in working with adults who are having issues with self-confidence and interpersonal communication, depression, stress, anxiety, loss, family conflict, fears, career or work problems, emotional distress, post-natal stress or depression, or relationship difficulties.

I have worked mainly within organisational settings and private practice.
