Melissa is an experienced psychologist of more than 10 years who adopts a warm, caring, and empathetic style of counselling to people from all walks of life, backgrounds, cultures and social demographic groups.
Her guiding principle is to work together to find helpful ways to enhance well-being and mental health.She is committed to treating each person as an individual, with respect and unconditional positive regard, in a safe, non-judgmental space.
Her gentle approach allows individuals to feel accepted and nurtured and they voice their concerns. As a parent of three younger children, Melissa understands the demands of a working mother and the importance of maintaining a balanced and healthy quality of life.

Academic Credentials
Melissa completed a Masters of Educational Psychology at the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Psychology, with Honours and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
She uses evidence-based therapies for best practice, namely Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), which focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.
Counselling Experience
Melissa has worked across a range of settings, including hospitals, schools, university, and private practice, where she has addressed the emotional, mental health and well-being needs of children, parents, youth and adults.
She has encompassed a broad array of areas including depression, anxiety, phobia, sleep, stress, low self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma anxiety, learning issues, school refusal, disabilities (including ASD), school and work transitions and anger management.
