Rhonda is committed to working collaboratively with clients to help them find ways to address their current concerns. 

She believes that with good support, people can find new ways of responding to unhelpful behaviours or new ways of relating to others. 

 

She believes in listening well, in treating her clients with respect and consideration in a safe and non-judgemental environment, that is empowering and that offers hope and builds resilience.

Academic Credentials

Rhonda holds a B. Soc. Science, B. A. Honours degree and a Graduate Diploma in Psychological Practice. She is a registered Clinical Psychologist with APHRA and a member of the Australian Psychological Society.

She has undertaken many courses and training opportunities to maintain her skills and interests in new developments in psychology. She is trained in the use of evidence-based therapies that are supported by the profession and by Medicare.

She is particularly interested in new developments in neuroscience and their application to problems such as anxiety and depression.

Counselling Experience

Rhonda is an experienced psychologist, who has worked for over 27 years with adults and adolescents dealing with many and varied mental health and related issues.

These include life events that are causing conflict or distress, such as loneliness, grief and loss, trauma, abuse, work problems, health problems, relationship and communication issues as well as specific problems such as anxiety, depression and compulsive thoughts and behaviours.

Rhonda has worked with a number of organisations, providing help for people to address the impact of child sexual abuse. She has also worked with people who have a strong compulsion to view pornography, which can contribute to sexual abuse and relationship problems, and which goes on to impact others around them.
