Sarah uses a person-centred, strength-based approach, working in collaboration with clients to reach their therapeutic goals. Sarah is highly focused on the therapeutic relationship using a calm and relaxed manner, positive communication strategies, empathy, and understanding during therapy sessions.
Sarah works with teens and adults using evidence-based frameworks to tailor her therapeutic approach to the individual needs of clients.

Academic Credentials
Sarah incorporates a variety of Interventions including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), schema-based techniques, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, solution Focused therapy, and Trauma informed interventions. Sarah has specialty training in trauma focused therapy, and substance abuse recovery.
Sarah holds a Diploma of counselling, Diploma of alcohol and other drugs, Bachelor of Psychological Science, Bachelor of behavioural science (Honours), and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS)
Counselling Experience
Sarah’s job roles have included working as an addiction counsellor and case manager, and working with clients and families experiencing dementia.
Sarah's most recent role was with a non government organisation working across the lifespan, with a variety of mental health presentations including depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Autism, ADHD, interpersonal difficulties, disordered eating, low self-esteem, personality Disorders, and DV.
