Stefany completed a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Psychology and Human Resource management, with a minor in statistics, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Stefany is trained in number of different therapeutic frameworks. When working with clients she ensures that the most appropriate and focused treatment is offered to them, some of the modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Dialetical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, psycho-education, solution focused approaches and using trauma informed care approach to treatment.
Stefany has experience in providing psychological assessment and interventions to children, young people and adults.
Stefany provides counselling for a variety of presentations, such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, drug & alcohol dependency, social and emotional problems, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties, adjustment and transitional stress, grief and loss, trauma and other life stressors.
She has worked in a range of settings, including not for profit organisations, within the home and education settings and in private practice.
