What is bulk billing?

Bulk billing is when a practitioner, in this case a psychologist, bills Medicare directly for their services. It is a Medicare benefit where you have no out-of-pocket expenses.

You can get up to ten Medicare bulk billed sessions per calendar year. To qualify, you must provide a referral letter and a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP.
