Support for participants and caregivers

At Someone Health, the professionals working under the NDIS scheme ensure that they get to build a good relationship with participants. Everyone has his or her history and future, and the psychologist NDIS team aims to develop a treatment plan that will suit our client’s needs and goals.

We ensure that all the clients and their families are participating actively in the therapy process. Moreover, the team of psychologists ensures that all the participants are taken through the process and stages of the therapy. The emphasis on the wellness of the whole person allows us to achieve better results and help people find happiness and personal growth in their lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is NDIS?

NDIS is the Australian Government's National Disability Insurance Scheme.

If you can access psychology services via your NDIS plan, Someone.health can help.

What if I need more sessions than NDIS provides?

If your funded sessions run out and you'd like to continue therapy with your psychologist, you can transition to Medicare.

Medicare offers up to ten sessions per year via bulk bill. You will need a GP referral to access these sessions. Ask your psychologist or email us at [email protected] to see how we can provide a smooth transition.

Can caregivers access our psychologists?

Caring for a loved one who is disabled, terminally ill, or severely injured is a deeply rewarding yet emotionally taxing responsibility. The complexities of caregiving can take a toll on mental health.

Someone.health can provide support to carers through Medicare or self funded appointments. Our psychologists can help caregivers to prioritise their mental health so that they are to be at their best to support their loved one.

Do I need to install any apps?

Someone.health provides online therapy. No apps are required to access our service.

Whilst there are no apps to install, video consults require a good internet connection to start your consultation. You can access your appointment on any device. Our technology platform is built for healthcare and has the highest security standards.

Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

There are many studies proving online and face-to-face therapy are equally as effective.

Yes. Studies (like this one) have shown online therapy is just as effective as face to face. Similarly, research (like this one) demonstrates the importance of being able to quickly access care when needed.
