What we treat
Establishing a strong sense of psychological safety and trust will always be my top priority. Having worked across high-risk clinical populations for the past three years, I have learned that clients are often attuned to when things are going wrong and come to therapy seeking new ways forward. Both imagining change and staying where you are, however, can sometimes feel overwhelming. In our sessions, you can expect an authentic, honest, and warm therapeutic style grounded in evidence-based practice. Together, we can clarify the meaning behind your experiences and work towards lasting psychological change.
I am a registered psychologist who completed postgraduate psychology mental health training at the University of Edinburgh and forensic psychology at the University of New South Wales. I specialise in understanding how societal pressures, family dynamics and early relational experiences shape one's identity, trauma, addiction, and recurring relational patterns. I have a personal interest in philosophy and mindfulness and I value continuously developing my therapeutic skills through engaging in the latest research. I primarily use approaches such as dialectical behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and motivational interviewing to guide clients to develop insight and implement change. Most importantly, I value establishing an authentic therapeutic relationship with my clients where we may explore and address your problems openly and honestly.; I have experience working with individuals presenting with complex mental health needs, including high-risk clients within institutional and forensic settings. My broader clinical experience also includes supporting people within the community experiencing: - Substance use difficulties and behavioural addictions, cravings and intrusive thoughts. - ADHD, depression, and emotional dysregulation. - Existential distress, difficulties navigating life transitions, grief, loss, and adjustment-related challenges.
