What we treat
I am an Australian-born-Chinese psychologist with a range of interests, particularly anime and games. I also enjoy playing the piano and violin, playing various sports, going window shopping, and playing with my cats. Professionally, I have extensive experience in mental health and disability support work, which has helped me learn and understand the everyday challenges people can go through. I use evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help assess and address concerns. My goal is to apply healthy pressure and use CBT and ACT to help you progress towards your goals, empower you, and foster a space where you feel heard, within a shorter time-frame.
I am a registered psychologist with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours). I have studied at the Australian National University and University of Canberra and am currently completing my Doctorate of Psychology with a focus on sport & exercise psychology and clinical psychology.; I have extensive experience in support work and have worked with a broad range of individuals in different areas of life. Within psychology, I have worked within two university telehealth clinics, two schools, and a professional sport club. Given my experience, my general approach to therapy is to focus on understanding your world, challenges and successes, and support you with my own clinical expertise and therapeutic modalities to help you navigate your concerns.
