Hi, I’m Emily

_'...The Mind and Body are not separate. What affects one, affects the other...' Anonymous.

I am a compassionate and experienced registered Clinical Psychologist who is here to support you through life’s challenges with care, understanding, and respect. With over 14 years of experience, I work alongside people who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions.

I believe therapy works best when you feel truly heard and understood. Using evidence-based approaches, I tailor our work together to your unique needs, goals, and strengths. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s been holding you back, build resilience, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. I am also furthering my studies in Human Nutrition to increase my understanding of the dynamic interplay between what we eat and how that affects both our bodies and minds.

I am a registered Clinical Psychologist, and I’m here to support you with compassion, care, and understanding as you navigate life’s challenges. I completed my Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology and Human Resource Management, as well as my Honours Degree in Psychology, at Swinburne University, followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Australian Catholic University. I have undertaken extensive professional development across a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including; ·      Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MBCBT), ·      Interpersonal Therapy, ·      Narrative Therapy, ·      Brief Psychodynamic Therapy, ·      Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, ·      Grief and Bereavement Counselling. ·      Trauma Therapy ·      Schema Therapy I completed in-depth training in EMDR and Schema Therapy, allowing us to gently explore and work through deeper patterns and experiences that may be underlying your current concerns. I am committed to ongoing learning and professional growth, so you can feel confident that the care you receive is thoughtful, up-to-date, and centered on your mental wellbeing.; I have worked as a psychologist across a wide range of settings, including public and private hospitals, community health services, and Headspace, supporting both adolescents and adults. This diverse experience has allowed me to work with people from many backgrounds and life stages, and to adapt my approach to meet each person’s unique needs. I have also provided outreach services for individuals living in the community with ongoing mental health challenges, bringing support beyond the therapy room when it was most needed. My clinical experience includes working within inpatient and outpatient Clinical Health and Psychology teams, providing both group and individual therapy. I have supported adults through PTSD-focused group therapy and individual counselling within a Psychological Trauma Recovery Service, as well as working with individuals experiencing substance use challenges in a community health setting.
