Hi, I’m Suborna

At the heart of my practice is a belief in genuine collaboration—I see therapy as a partnership where we work together to understand your unique story, explore your challenges, and build on your strengths. I offer a warm and non-judgmental space where you can safely express your thoughts and emotions, knowing you’ll be met with empathy, respect, and care. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, or everyday life stressors, our work is always guided by your values, goals, and needs. I am particularly passionate about the role of attachment in shaping our connection with ourselves and others. In my work with both individuals and families, including children, I take great care to foster secure and supportive relationships that promote emotional growth and resilience. My practice is also informed by a deep commitment to cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, with a particular focus on the mental health of girls and women. Ultimately, I am here to support, celebrate, and grow with you, no matter where you’re starting from. My area of interest is the mental well-being of women, girls, and children. .

Qualifications

With registration through AHPRA and professional membership with the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi), she brings both depth and warmth to her therapeutic work. Suborna's academic journey includes a Master of Psychology from the University of Dhaka, a Master of Social Work from QUT, and a Diploma in Children's Services.; Suborna brings warmth, understanding, and a wealth of experience to her work with people across the lifespan—from young children to adolescents, adults, and older adults. She has had the privilege of supporting individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities, individuals with disabilities, and those navigating neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism and ADHD. Her approach is always client-centred, guided by compassion and a deep respect for each person’s unique story. With qualifications in psychology, social work, and children's services, Suborna has delivered therapeutic support across many settings, including hospitals, schools, community programs, and private clinics. She thoughtfully integrates a range of evidence-based therapies—such as ACT, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and TheraPlay—tailoring interventions to meet each client’s emotional, developmental, and cultural needs. Through this work, Suborna creates safe and affirming spaces where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
