Hi, I’m Alec

Hi, I'm Alec — a registered psychologist with a background in both clinical and organisational psychology. I work primarily with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, identity struggles, and the emotional toll of high-pressure environments. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and emotionally attuned. I create a space where clients feel safe to explore the parts of themselves they may have long kept hidden — the doubts, fears, and wounds that often lie beneath stress, burnout, or self-criticism. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you are beneath the demands of daily life, our work together will centre on helping you feel seen, heard, and understood — just as you are. I believe that insight is a powerful tool for change — and that therapy should go beyond symptom relief to help you make sense of your story, your patterns, and the emotional conditioning that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll explore these experiences at a pace that feels safe and meaningful to you.

My approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and integrative. I draw on a range of psychological frameworks — including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing — and tailor each session to your goals, needs, and life context. I also bring an interest in exploring relational dynamics, self-worth, and the beliefs we form about ourselves in early life that echo into adulthood.
