Hi, I’m Amanda

Amanda is an AHPRA registered Clinical Psychologist with over 16 years of experience working in various roles across both public and private healthcare settings. Her career has included roles within acute mental health services, public and private specialist pain clinics, virtual hospitals, and telehealth psychology services.

She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Psychological Science, and has experience delivering evidence-based psychological treatment to people around Australia who are experiencing a range of different physical, psychological and emotional difficulties.

Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative and strengths-based, grounded in a humanistic-focused approach that recognizes each person’s unique values, experiences and goals. Amanda believes that individuals are the experts in their own lives, and works alongside clients to develop practical strategies for meaningful change.

Amanda integrates a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches into her work, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) also known as “tapping.”

Amanda provides support for a range of psychological challenges including:

- Chronic/ persistent pain - Workplace injuries and CTP claims - Chronic health conditions - Anxiety, depression and trauma - Grief & Loss - Stress, Burnout and adjustment difficulties - Relationship and interpersonal challenges - Self-esteem and confidence concerns

Amanda has a particular clinical interest in working with clients experiencing chronic / persistent pain. She currently works within specialist pain clinics in Sydney, where she delivers gold-standard, evidence-based pain management programs. Her work supports individuals in understanding the complex relationship between the mind and body, helping them develop practical strategies to manage pain, improve functioning, and enhance overall wellbeing. For individuals experiencing chronic pain, sessions may include education about how stress, emotional factors, and sensitisation of the nervous system can influence the experience of pain. Treatment focuses on evidence-based strategies that improve both pain management and day-to-day functioning.
