What we treat
I am a friendly and compassionate psychologist committed to supporting individuals through challenging life circumstances and work towards their personal goals. I have experience working in a variety of settings including in high school counselling, family services, drug and alcohol counselling, a private outpatient hospital, and an employee assistance program. I have worked with clients of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds; from adolescents to the elderly; those identifying as LGBTIQ+; those with various psychiatric concerns (ie. depression, anxiety, life transitions such as new motherhood). My therapeutic style is empathetic, warm and non-judgemental. I work in a holistic style of therapy and have a particular interest in transpersonal (spiritual) and existential therapy. Our sessions will be guided by you, and I hope that together we can work on changing unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns, building on your strengths, while increasing your problem solving skills and resilience. I hope this will empower you to find meaning, purpose and value in life, ultimately increasing your health in mind, body and soul.
I am a fully registered psychologist, having completed a Bachelors degree with Honours in Psychological Sciences, and a Masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I specialise in assisting people through mental health struggles such as anxiety, depression and significant life transitions using evidence-based techniques as well as transpersonal, existential and philosophical discussion. I am committed to ongoing growth and development of my psychological education and practice to provide you with the highest standard of service and care as you work toward your personal goals and mental wellbeing.; Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (La Trobe University, 2011) Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Psychology) (Honours) (RMIT University, 2013) Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Australian College of Applied Psychology, 2016) Diploma of Psychological Practice (College of Professional Psychology, 2020).
