What we treat
Hi I'm Conor, I'm a registered psychologist with over five years experience in the mental health industry. I have worked in a range of fields including youth mental health, hospital settings, group therapy and individual therapy utilising multiple approaches.
My focus in therapy is developing mindfulness in everyday life, exploring values and creativity, examining the link between mind and body and for those struggling with trauma re-establishing safety through somatic and cognitive strategies. Overall helping people develop a better relationship with this world of thoughts, feelings and behaviours that can feel so complex and overwhelming. I always strive to meet clients where they're at-I believe people inherently are good natured and have an immense capacity for growth. My work focuses on collaboration and supporting clients in ultimately rediscovering this.
In my work there's a big element of exploring creativity, whether it's music, art or dance, anything that creates a sense of flow. Also looking to identify how my clients find a sense of play in their everyday life. I am a big advocate for the idea that creativity and play are central factors in promoting overall wellness. Plus as a massive music fan and nature boy, I'll take any opportunity to chat more about these things and how they help you.
My role as a therapist is such a privilege and I'm very grateful to be able to do this work with people in what seems like such challenging times. Speak to you soon!
