Davin is a compassionate, warm, flexible, and approachable psychologist who understands the need for a safe and non-judgemental environment to support individuals in attaining better mental health and well-being. Davin has experience working with a wide range of age groups who are dealing with a wide variety of challenges. Davin is passionate about supporting individuals and providing a therapeutic, holistic, collaborative, and client-centred approach to assist and empower you with the skills to manage life’s challenges, by using a combination of evidence-based treatments and therapies. I have completed a Bachelor of Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology. I am currently registered with AHPRA; a member of the Australian Psychological Society, as well as other various organisations, including - Division of General Psychological Practice; Queensland Association for Healthy Communities; Rural Health Education Foundation and Indigenous Allied Health Australia. I’m a registered with the NDIS for the purpose of Behavioural Support plans. I collaboratively tailor therapeutic intervention to my client’s needs by drawing upon a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic treatments including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy and DBT.; I’m a dedicated psychologist with extensive experience providing clients with innovative treatment solutions for 15 years across several presenting concerns within in the forensic, disability and private practice setting. My experiences (including managing multi-disciplinary teams) have provided me with opportunities to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, LGBTQI+ individuals disadvantaged / minority groups and First Nations people and NDIS participants who experience severe and enduring psychosocial/psychological disabilities. I approach my work by respecting and honouring individual differences within my clients. I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults and will always advocate for my clients with other service providers.
