What we treat
Hello I'm Diane and I am a compassionate and neuro-affirming psychologist. I have over 20 years experience helping others to deal with anxiety, stress, depression, anger, grief, life transitions, work place issues, addiction as well as much more. My special interest areas are women's mental health - particularly peri-menopause/menopause, and later diagnosis of ADHD. I use evidence based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Person Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Short term Solution Focussed Therapy and others that may be applicable. I have lived experience as an army veteran and expat, and working in many highly ambiguous environments. My goal is to provide a safe space where you will be heard and validated, as well as supported and encouraged throughout the therapeutic process.
Areas of support are being updated.
Registered psychologist with Honours degree from Victoria University of Wellington NZ, and AAPi member. I help people address anxiety and depression, grief, stress, work place issues, major events and illnesses, anger, drug and alcohol issues, as well as much more. I use therapy and psycho-education to help you master strategies and coping in practical ways that are taught in session and revised as you learn along the way.; My background started in acute mental health and corrective services psychology. I have worked as a NSW police psychologist and drug and alcohol medicine psychologist, as well as in my own private practice, and overseas in Iraq as the trauma surgical team's psychologist, mental health program manager and care practices manager. I've also worked in the EAP, workers comp and resource industry critical incident response field. I am a professional soldier and veteran, as well as a published author and professional artist.
