What we treat
Elena was born in Italy, where she completed her studies and internship before moving to Australia to pursue her passion for travel and experiencing new cultures.
Elena tailors her psychotherapy to the individual, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and client-centred therapy. She provides a supportive, collaborative, and non-directive therapeutic environment that fosters growth, resilience, self-esteem, and self-awareness. Elena also offers neuro-affirming care that embraces and builds on the unique strengths of both neurodivergent and neurotypical clients.
Elena has extensive experience working with a broad range of mental health presentations across diverse cultural backgrounds. She has worked with clients under WorkCover schemes, supporting individuals recovering from workplace injuries and psychological trauma, and has experience providing psychological services to current and former Australian Defence Force personnel and veterans through the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA). Her training in EMDR enables her to effectively support clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related difficulties. Elena also offers therapy in Italian.
Outside of her clinical work, Elena is a mother of two young boys, sings in her church choir, is an enthusiastic lifelong learner, and is passionate about empowering clients to create meaningful and lasting positive change.
