Hi I’m Katherine. If you are looking for a non-judgemental, kind and empathetic listening ear you have come to the right person. I am passionate about helping others and it would be a privilege for me to help support you on your journey to achieving a more fulfilling life. I see my role as helping you to better understand and get to know yourself and in doing so building confidence and self-esteem.
Katherine has a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Bachelor of Education and Masters in Educational Leadership. She is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Katherine has completed training in several evidence-based approaches such as: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and is currently training in Schema Therapy.; Katherine is passionate about working with people of all ages and has had broad experience with young children, adolescents and their parents. She has worked with a wide array of presentations, including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, trauma, anger management, bullying, relationship difficulties and personality disorders.Katherine has worked as a School Counsellor for five years and in the educational sector as an English teacher for over thirty years. Katherine has had a lot of experience dealing with adolescent development and parenting issues. She has a keen interest in working with people experience relationship difficulties.
