What we treat
Hi, I’m Kelly, a registered psychologist based in Queensland. I am a warm and empathetic person. I enjoy working collaboratively with individuals to explore areas of concern, and to develop personalised positive strategies to support increased wellbeing and personal growth. We are all products of our past – the good, bad and the ugly parts of it, but our past does not need to determine our future. Increased skills and knowledge empower people to make choices about how they want to be in the world and to move forward in a way that is right for them.
I am a fully registered psychologist. My academic credentials including Graduate Diplomas in Psychological Studies, and Experiential and Creative Art Therapy, and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) majoring in Psychology. In working with people, I draw on evidence-based strategies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology and Motivational Interviewing. I am person-centered, holistic, and integrative in my approach, with methods tailored to meet individual needs.; I am experienced in providing support to individuals whose capacity to engage in normal life activities has been negatively impacted by psychological injuries or illnesses including work related stress, workplace bullying and burnout, as well as work and non-work-related depression, anxiety and trauma. Additional experience in the mental health sector includes working in the drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and domestic violence sectors. Previous experience includes over 20 years working across a range of industries including science, business and education.
