What we treat
I focus my practice on people’s needs bringing all my life experience and cultural values to assist clients overcome their issues, big or small. I am able to communicate with children, the elderly, people with disabilities to CEO’s. The last few years I have worked in areas of trauma related incidents with individuals, families and law enforcement. My children and partner have Native Indian blood. I have spent time living and working in Aboriginal Communities, as well as people of other nationalities and cultures.
MEd (Guid & Couns); PG Dip Psych; Dip Law & Security Admin; BA Psych; Dip Clinical Hypnosis & Strategic Psych; Mem AAPI, HAH; I have had the honour of developing my skills over a lifetime of working with people of all ages in many different roles, environments and situations. During the last 14 years, I have worked as a psychologist, mainly in remote, rural communities, focusing primarily on individuals and families in trauma. I have also had the privilege of assisting first responders manage any trauma encountered during critical incidents. A key focus of my practice is to assess and target evidence based psychological services to determine a client’s explicit needs and requirements. A variety of clinical, educational or organisational issues, developing effective interventions and treatment plans is determined with the client, concentrating on their results in conjunction with the current DSM.
