Hello, my name is Louise. I am a young, newly qualified psychologist looking forward to supporting you in your mental health journey. I'm a humanistic, person centered, evidence-based practitioner. I graduated with Honours in Psychological Science from Bond University. I have experience working as a behavioural therapist with children with ADHD and Austism. The majority of my work experience is from a not-for-profit Youth Mental Health Organisation where I provided triage/assessment and intervention in person and online for individuals and groups.
Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) Bond University, Griffith University; Experience working in Youth Mental Health with a trauma informed practice. - Biopsychosocial assessment and triage for young people (12 – 25 years old) with mental health concerns, complex trauma, early psychosis, LGBTIQAP+, AoDs, work and school concerns. - Intervention for young people (age 12 – 25) and their families, with mild to moderate mental health concerns. - Group Facilitator of Art group, Social group and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) skills group - Delivered presentations including Lives Lived Well DBT online presentation for learning week, headspace presentation at Gold Coast Hospital Competent in knowledge of the discipline, ethical, legal and professional matters, psychological assessment and measurement, intervention strategies, research and evaluation, communication and interpersonal relationships, working with people from diverse groups, and practice across the lifespan.
