What we treat
I am a working mother/ psychologist and a wife, I know how stressful it can be trying to juggle it all. My European background also helps me understand the challenges people from different cultures face. I know very well that life can be unfair sometimes, things that we did not want can happen, things that we did not wish, things that we did not deserve, and we end up feeling overwhelmed and alone. But you don't have to go through this alone, I'm here for you. My primary focus is enhancing clients’ well-being through evidence-based practice. I like to customise treatment to individual needs and circumstances using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based skills. My ultimate goal is to help clients reach their full potential and overcome the challenges that life can bring.
I'm a Clinical Psychologist Registrar. I have a Master of Professional Psychology as well as a Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of New England (UNE). My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress management, adjustment to motherhood, work cover, attachment and PTSD. I love animals and nature. I strongly believe in the benefits of pet ownership for mental health. If you have an animal at home, please bring it to our sessions. Given the cognitive demands of therapy, time limits of the sessions, and inability to provide 24/7 care, I cannot accept bookings where active suicidality, intellectual impairment, florid psychosis, or dementia is present. Due to time constraints, I do not accept legal and/or forensic issues.; I have experience in various settings, providing psychological treatment to a diverse range of clients.
