My psychologist has left or is on leave. What happens now?
Your referral, Mental Health Treatment Plan and Medicare sessions stay with you. You can book with any of our psychologists.
Sometimes a psychologist leaves Someone.health or takes extended leave. When this happens:
- your GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan stay on your file
- your remaining Medicare sessions stay with you
- your referral can be used with any of our psychologists, so you don't need a new one just because you've changed psychologist
Choosing a new psychologist
- Log in.
- Select Request a different clinician.
- Tell us why you'd like to change, then select Change psychologist and continue.
- Choose a new psychologist and book a time.
You can browse our psychologists first to find someone who suits you.

My psychologist is on leave
If your psychologist is on leave, you can wait for them to return or book with someone else. We can't always say when a psychologist will be back. If you'd rather not wait, change psychologist using the steps above.
